Socializing
Empires provides a variety of ways for you to express yourself. We
have chatlines which are much like IRC. You can contact
individuals directly via ESP, whisper to a person in the same area
as you, and use Emotes. Emotes are prebuilt commands which allow
your character to perform an action, allowing you to hug another
player for example. We currently have over 400 such emotes. All of
these systems allow you a full range of communication with whoever
else is logged in, which can be hundreds of people from all over
the world.Role Playing
You can create a fantasy character of amazing depth in Empires. We
allow to choose your name of course, complete with surname and
capitalization preferences. You can create your own text
description, and provide a picture which other people see when
they look at your character in the game. Your appearance varies
depending on what guild you join, and you gain an honorary title
based on your accomplishments. You can also pick a profession,
hone specific skills, and worship various gods to enhance the
image of your character.
Communication Systems
Empires has its own Mail and News systems, similar to Usenet News
groups and Internet Mail you are already familiar with. We have an
interface as fully featured as programs like Eudora or Free Agent
to access these intergame information devices.
Saved Inventory
All of your hard-earned equipment is ready and waiting for you the
next time you login. There's no need to start over my scratch
each time you play. Your character is saved, and you can develop
it for years, starting and stopping whenever you want.Vehicles
Empires features a number of vehicular systems which be used
for transportation and combat, including Dragons, Boats, and
Dune Buggies.Pets
Pets can be bought to be used as spies, pack animals, or as
fighting companions. You'll come to appreciate the value of
your guard dog, attack eagle, or trusty steed. Your pets can
be named, commanded, injured, just like another player. Treat
them well and they will be a helpful companion. Treat them
poorly and they just may take off.
Forging
By mining ores you can create weapons or armor out of unique
alloys you specify. The item you forge will get its attributes
dependent on the percent and types of ore you use, allowing
you to create your own perfect recipe.

Our shops are easier to use and more flexible than any you've

We keep context specific and menu based help systems on every
command and topic in the game at your fingertips.
Unique Guilds
We avoid the cliches and give you interesting and unique guilds.
You can be a Dragon Rider, a Pirate, a Spy, and more. Our system
allows for great depth by giving you races, guilds, and
professions to choose from.
